Monthly progress report
One page, once a month: the tracker, the paper trend, what has moved, and what the next four lessons will focus on. Written in plain English, not dashboard-speak.
Software can log a score. It cannot notice that a student rushes every question with a diagram, or that the Further Maths gap is really an A-level Maths gap in disguise. That is what the lessons are for.

Getting into the right university.
For Year 12 and 13 students applying for Maths, Economics, Finance and related courses. The application and the admissions tests are separate problems, and both are taught.
UCAS and the personal statement
The personal statement is now three set questions with 4,000 characters shared between them and a minimum of 350 per answer. It rewards specific evidence and punishes filler, which is where most applicants fall down.

TMUA, MAT and STEP
Admissions tests sit well above A-level and are the deciding factor for the most competitive Maths and Economics courses. They are learnable, but not by doing more A-level questions.
- TMUAI sat it myself and scored above 7 out of 9. Used by Cambridge Economics and a growing list of Maths and Economics courses, including LSE, Warwick and Durham
- MATOxford and Imperial Mathematics and joint honours. Multiple-choice and longer problems that reward clean thinking over speed
- STEPCambridge and Warwick offers, sat in June alongside A-levels. The hardest of the three and the closest to university mathematics

I went through UCAS for Mathematics myself and sat the TMUA on the way in. For MAT and STEP, three years of university mathematics at UCL means the style of question is familiar ground: problems that need an idea, not a method from a textbook. I have also been on the other side of competitive applications in finance, so the advice comes from having done it.
